Announcement of Wernhil’s ‘Design a Mascot Challenge’
Wernhil would proudly like to announce and congratulate Miss Xamira Hangara as the winner of our ‘Design a Mascot Challenge’, Xamira was the artist of “Miss Jovi” later renamed to Jovi and who walked away with a prize of N$10,000.00 in cash.
Jovi described by Xamira the artist: “Jovi short for Jovial, is one of Namibia’s most common natural beauties, always prepared to help and make what could have been havoc a more enjoyable time at the pulse of the city. The rainbow spectrum patches symbolizes the reflection of diversity and joy Wernhil has to offer. Rest assured that Jovi will be there to assist you in your time of need and make you feel at home.”
Jovi will not only represent Wernhil, but also make your shopping experience more enjoyable. She’s fun, exciting and ready to take on the Pulse of the City.
During the competition we received a total of 169 entries showing amazing creative designs and ideas. The voting panel included Wernhil Tenants, the Public and Wernhil Management. With the consent of Xamira, a few minor changes were made to the Mascot design, to integrate Wernhil more and make it easier to manufacture.

A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available for hire on presentation of your I.D. or driver’s license, on a first come, first serve basis. Your I.D. or driver’s license will be held at the desk until the wheelchair is returned. All entrances offer wheelchair access, and disabled toilet facilities are available throughout the centre for your convenience.
